Raw Expression

A play on emotion through abstraction. The red stripe stands for the more hidden, undiscovered parts of ourselves. In a world that encourages uniformity, the red is everything you want to be, emotions or thoughts creeping out that haven't yet found their space. A reminder to let your colour flow through you out into the world!

This series uses watered down pigment over several layers to create texture and free flowing interweaving contrasting colours. Creating patterns that replicate the beauty and randomness of nature.
